Jeremy Underwood
Jeremy has always been driven by music. Since a young age, Jeremy surrounded himself with any and all types of music. After high school, Jeremy moved to Lubbock Texas where he began playing bass and began recording. While getting his business degree at Texas Tech, he decided that music was no longer going to be a hobby, it was going to be his destiny. He left Texas and moved to Arizona and attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. While there he began to not only love, but live the craft as well. While there he began working with One Smart Guy, cofounder Eric Eylands. Upon graduating, Jeremy, along with Eric, moved to Los Angeles. Jeremy got his first opportunity at Signet Sound (formerly Motown Hitsville) and continued to develop his craft. While at Signet, Jeremy got to work with industry heavy hitters such as Frank Wolf, Alan Sides, Ron Fair, Chris Lord-Alge, Tim Armstrong, Fergie, Keb Mo, and the late Ruth Brown. After Signet closed its doors in December 2006, Jeremy moved to Bay 7 studios, where he has gotten to work with John Mayer, Marilyn Manson, Buckcherry, Creed, Daughtry, Flyleaf, Eddie Kramer, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, engineer Mike Plotnikoff and grammy nominated producer Howard Benson. Jeremy continues to build his portfolio at the studio as well as working with any artists who make music for the love of it.

Eric Eylands
At a young age, Eric Eylands knew he wanted music to be a part of his life. Growing up in a musical family in Grand Forks, ND, it was no surprise that he became a talented musician. He began playing the saxophone at age 11, then starting taking guitar lessons from his father at 13. He studied at the University of North Dakota and was educated in music theory, ear training, and composition. Eric has played in a variety of musical groups: classical, jazz, and his first band, S-51. He loves playing any and all instruments including saxophone, guitar, bass guitar, flute, and percussion.
Eric made the big move from the midwest to Tempe, Arizona where he attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, learning the art of recording and mixing. This is where he met his good friends and co-founders of One Smart Guy Productions, Jeremy Underwood and Brian Capello. When classes were done, Eric moved to Los Angeles for an internship at Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, where he is now employed and lives with his wife, Sarah, in Burbank.
Working at Conway has given him a chance to work with some of the best gear in the industry, ranging from Pro Tools HD rigs, SSL to Neve mixing consoles, the newest to old vintage tube microphones, and some of the finest outboard gear in the industry today. Eric has also been given the opportunity to work with some of the most well known and best engineers and artists in the business. The list keeps growing every week.

Brian Cappello
Brian is a multi-instrumentalist/engineer with a strong background in music theory and composition, and a passion for music and music production. Born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, Brian earned a B.A. from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA before attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ and finally settling in Los Angeles in 2004. Shortly after arriving in L.A., Brian met One Smart Guy co-founding super-duo Jeremy Underwood and Eric Eylands while interning at Hollywood's historic Signet Sound Studios. It wasn't long before he was invited to join the production team, officially cementing OSG's power trio status. Currently, Brian is employed at Bay 7 Studios, a recording studio that hosts some of rock music's biggest acts.
Brian has lent his engineering, instrumental, and compositional skills to some of L.A.'s most promising and talented artists, including his current post as bassist for reggae all-stars Dread Daze, and looks forward to continuing collaborations with creative people who want to take their recordings to the next level!
